Corinne Gasser from strickwaerme.ch visited NOIVA
Our Jordan team’s report:
Corinne Gasser visited us from the 21st to the 28th of February at our place in Amman. She brought boxes of handmade knitted caps and other knitted goods as well as donations for food packages for Syrian refugees with her.
Within her stay we went visiting Syrian families at their homes in Mafraq, distributed caps and food packages and spent time with them.
We spent two days at a school for Syrian orphans and taught the students as well as their mothers, aunts and grandmothers how to knit caps or scarfs. It was a great experience on both sides. And the school opened the doors wide for further projects and ideas, which we are discussing now.
The time spent with Corinne was great and got ourselves infected with the knitting virus …
